A Guide to Services:
Producing:
Producing an album is my strong suit. This involves improving arrangements by adding or altering parts of the song whether it is by adding second guitar parts or changing bass lines to work better with drum tracks, or reorganizing vocal stacks and harmonies. This process encompasses some or all of these other services depending on the needs of your specific project.
I offer session playing as a guitarist, bassist, and drummer.
Session Playing:
Engineering:
Engineering a session is simply capturing your performance in the highest quality possible. When engineering an album I take the approach of getting out of the way of the audio, and the talent as much as possible and simply recording things as they are meant to be heard.
Editing:
Editing is time and pitch correcting performances. This includes time alignment of drums, bass, guitars, and any other instruments, as well as tuning vocals with pitch correction like Melodyne.
Mixing is the final process of balancing levels, panning, and getting the record ready for mastering.
Mixing:
Mastering is the process of making your mixes translate properly in every possible listening scenario through level optimization. This is the final step in getting your album ready in CD/streaming format.
